The Coilhouse title is “Ruff Sex”- I couldn’t begin to improve on that! – and this arrestingly theatrical fellow is an example of Tina Cassati’s work: just stunning stuff, both contemporary and timeless. Sadly, I have no German, but I can certainly look at the pictures.  Wow.

Theatrical fashion is much on my mind: what would Under the Poppy look like in performance? Not the novel itself, but the world of the novel . . . The opportunity to play this way is enormously appealing.  The smell of old perfume; ripped stockings; uncertain light.  And music …. A figure steps onto the stage ….
