Paul and I are reading out loud PROSPERO&#039;S CELL, a wonderful book by Lawrence Durrell about his time on the island of Corfu in the 1930&#039;s.   Chapter 4 describes a shadow play, with traditional characters.  And here is a modern day link from You Tube to a play with one of the characters, Karajiozis:
